Watch Obviously Fight Talk #99 – ‘How do we fix weight-cutting in MMA?’:

Go to 31:25 for the interview with Glen Ellis.

We’re almost at episode #100! But before that, we have episode #99. It features a UFC 220 and Bellator 192 recap show. Brendan Dorman joins us to analyse the big fights from both cards – including Stipe Miocic’s record-breaking performance and Rory MacDonald’s title win.

Brendan also reveals that he worked with Volkan Oezdemir and explains why he’s disappointed in what went down on Saturday night.

We interview Glen Ellis of Code Blue Medical about the weight cutting issue in MMA. This is following the latest weight-cutting incident with Uriah Hall last week.

He explains what he believes needs to be done to battle the issue and details the health risks of rapid weight loss in particular. He also recalls of his experience working backstage with fighters who cut massive amounts of weight, including Darren Till, who he says ‘scared’ him.

We break down all the big MMA news from this week – including the UFC’s (interim?) lightweight title mess.
